Bhutan visa requirement
For foreigners:
It is mandatory for all foreigners visiting Bhutan to get a visa clearance letter prior to boarding a flight. It is issued by the Department of Immigration of Bhutan
They are required to show a copy of the visa clearance letter at the time of check-in which will then be stamped into their passport
It is essential to note that the Initial Reference letter issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is not valid for travel. Any passengers without a valid visa clearance letter will not be allowed at the check-in counter and Bhutan Airlines will not be liable for the same
Visa processing is done through an online system by either an authorized Bhutanese tour operator or through a foreign travel agent.
For Indian nationals:
Indians can obtain a visa at the port of entry on producing a valid passport with a minimum of 6 months validity or voter ID card.
For Bangladesh and Maldives nationals:
